Does an Automatic Watch Need a Battery? A Guide to Our 43mm Skeleton Watch
· admin
An automatic watch and a battery-powered watch may look similar from the outside. The difference is in how the movement stores and uses energy. If you are considering our 43 mm blue-dial skeleton watch, here is what to know before buying and wearing it.
Does this automatic watch need a battery?
No. This model uses an automatic mechanical movement powered by wrist motion, rather than a battery. Its skeleton dial and transparent exhibition caseback let you see details of the mechanical movement.
“Automatic” does not mean the watch runs indefinitely when left unworn. If it stops after being set aside, follow the winding and time-setting instructions supplied with the watch before wearing it again. We have not specified a power-reserve duration for this model, so do not assume a particular number of hours.
What can you see through a skeleton dial?
The openwork blue dial exposes parts of the movement from the front. The exhibition caseback offers a view from the reverse. This is a design feature for people who enjoy visible mechanical detail; it does not change the watch’s water-resistance limitations.

How large is the 43 mm case?
For a broader comparison, our 40mm, 42mm and 45mm automatic watch size guide explains how diameter, thickness and strap measurements affect your choice.
The listed case diameter is 43 mm, with a thickness of 13 mm. The stainless steel bracelet is 21 mm wide, and the listed watch weight is approximately 138 g. These measurements help you compare the watch with one you already wear. Case diameter alone does not establish a guaranteed fit for a particular wrist size.
The listed bracelet circumference is 225 mm before adjustment. This is a product measurement, not a confirmed supported wrist-size range. If fit is important, contact support before ordering.
Can you swim or shower with it?
No. This model’s 30 m water-resistance rating is intended for everyday splashes and light rain. It is not suitable for swimming, diving or showering. Avoid immersion, hot water and steam. Keep the crown closed and do not operate it while wet.
